About Q4
Q4 is building research infrastructure for the Saudi market — earnings calls, transcripts, filings and financials for Tadawul-listed companies, in one workspace where every answer traces back to its source. We are a small team in Riyadh, and the people who join now shape how the product works.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain the backend services that run Q4.
Work on financial-data pipelines: ingestion, extraction, normalisation and data quality.
Design and maintain the APIs the product is built on.
Improve retrieval and search infrastructure that grounds answers in source documents.
Own reliability and performance — latency, correctness, and behaviour under load.
Debug real production problems against real data.
What we’re looking for
Strong backend fundamentals, whatever you built them on.
Node and TypeScript, which is what our services are written in.
PostgreSQL, and comfort designing schemas you will have to live with.
Experience building and consuming APIs.
Data pipelines, and an instinct for where they quietly break.
Real debugging ability and awareness of performance.
Nice to have
Experience with AI or retrieval systems in production.
Exposure to financial data and the ways it is inconsistent.
Comfort with infrastructure and deployment.

Small team, short feedback loops, and very little process between an idea and something users can try.
You will work directly with the founders rather than through layers.
We care about precision — this is financial data, and being approximately right is not good enough.
