Privacy Policy

Q4 is a research platform for Saudi-listed companies, bringing financial data, filings, earnings calls, and AI-assisted analysis into one workspace. This Privacy Policy describes what information Q4 collects when you use the website and dashboard (the “Service”), how we use it, and how to reach us about it.

Q4 is operated by Q4 Intelligence Company, a limited liability company registered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Commercial Registration No. 1010976680).

Account and authentication data. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Your password is never stored in plain text — only a one-way hash of it is kept.

Chat and session history. Q4 Chat conversations are saved to your account so you can return to them, including your questions, the answers Q4 generated, and any citations or files produced along the way.

Uploaded and researched documents. Covered in more detail in “Documents and Research Data” below.

Usage and technical data. We collect information about how you use Q4 — for example, which companies, documents, or features you interact with — sent from your browser to our own backend, along with standard technical data such as browser type.

Calendar data (optional). If your organization connects a Google Calendar to Q4’s Earnings Calendar feature, we store an OAuth token and read events (read-only) from that one connected calendar. That connection is shared across everyone signed in to your Q4 account’s dashboard, not private to the person who connected it.

Payment and subscription data. If you have a paid subscription, our payment processor handles your card details directly — Q4 stores your subscription status and an invoice/subscription reference, not your full card number.

Information from forms. If you apply for a role through our careers pages, join the early-access waitlist, or contact us, we collect what you submit — for example, name, email, a LinkedIn profile, and a CV or video for job applications.

We use the information above to operate Q4: authenticating your account, running the research and AI features you use, saving your chat history and documents so you can return to them, processing billing for paid subscriptions, responding to support and career inquiries, and understanding how the product is used so we can improve it.

Certain Q4 features send your question — along with relevant context such as financial data or documents you’re viewing — to a third-party AI model provider so it can generate an answer. Depending on the feature, this may include providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Earnings call audio may be transcribed using a third-party transcription provider.

Q4 selects a default model provider for most features; some tools let you choose a different available model yourself.

Some parts of Q4 let you upload your own documents — for example, materials related to a company you’re researching. Uploaded documents are stored, parsed, and indexed (including into a searchable, embedded form) so Q4 can answer questions about them and point you back to the exact page or passage a citation came from.

This is the same pipeline used to index publicly filed company documents (annual reports, disclosures) that Q4 ingests on its own — your own uploads are stored and indexed the same way, but remain associated with your account.

Q4 keeps you signed in using browser storage (local/session storage), not a session cookie. The Service sets one first-party cookie to remember your interface preferences (such as light/dark mode) — this is essential and doesn’t require consent.

Q4 supports optional analytics cookies, off by default. They only load if you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie preferences card, or turn analytics on from “Manage preferences” in the footer. If you reject or ignore the prompt, no analytics script loads. Q4 does not use advertising cookies or trackers.

We share information with the service providers that help us run Q4 — see “Subprocessors and Service Providers” below for what those are and why each one is used.

Core infrastructure. Every use of Q4 runs on these:

• Vercel — hosting, serverless functions, and file storage.
• A PostgreSQL database — Q4’s primary database.

Feature-dependent providers. These are only involved when you use the specific feature that needs them:

• AI model providers (for example, OpenAI and Anthropic) — for AI Chat and related features.
• A document-parsing provider — for extracting and indexing filings and uploaded documents.
• A transcription provider — for earnings call audio.
• Google (Calendar API) — only if you connect a Google Calendar to the Earnings Calendar feature.
• A meeting-recording provider — only where the Meeting Capture feature is used.
• A payment processor — only if you have a paid subscription.
• Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies (see “Cookies and Analytics”).

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate Q4.

We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect information within Q4. Passwords are never stored in plain text, and access to administrative tools is limited to a specific, approved list of accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Some of the providers described in this policy — including our AI model and infrastructure providers — may process information outside of Saudi Arabia. We take reasonable steps to protect information wherever it is processed.

Contact us at contact@q4.sa with any request about your information — for example, to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion. Account deletion today is handled by our team on request rather than a self-service control in the product.

Q4 accounts today are individual — there isn’t yet a formal organization or workspace data model with shared roles or permissions. If several people at your company use Q4, each person has their own account. The one exception is the Earnings Calendar: a connected Google Calendar is shared across everyone signed in, not scoped to one user.

Q4 is intended for professional and business use and is not directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

MCP (Model Context Protocol). Q4 can be connected to AI tools you already use — currently Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor — so you can ask them questions using Q4’s data. This works in the opposite direction from the AI providers in section 4: here, a tool you’re signed into calls Q4 on your behalf, using your own Q4 credentials, rather than Q4 calling out to it.

Booking a demo. The “Book a Demo” link on our site takes you to Cal.com, a third-party scheduling tool. Information you submit there (like your name, email, and preferred time) goes directly to Cal.com under its own privacy terms — Q4 only receives the booking itself.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Q4 evolves. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
